Founded in 1974 by a dedicated group of health educators, Comprehensive Health Education Foundation (C.H.E.F.®) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides resources, connections, and support to the people who are most affected by health inequities, so they can live healthier lives and build healthier communities. Through a combination of clear vision, strong leadership, passionate staff, collaborative partners, and a highly committed board of directors, we've directly benefited the health and well-being of millions of people. As we look to the future, we're committed to helping millions more in the coming years.

What We Do

With a long history of bringing better health to individuals and communities, our efforts today in the pursuit of our vision and mission are being addressed through our two divisions:

• Health Equity Partners™ creates healthy opportunities for people most affected by health inequities through a powerful combination of advocacy, education, grantmaking, and partnerships.
   
• MissionWise® provides consulting, training, and mentoring to help organizations build their capacity to better deliver services and become more sustainable, thereby improving their ability to prevent and reduce health inequities.
